Artist Statement
This is a mixed media art collection that features abstract “quilts” that explore the need to document one’s life and make something beautiful and/ or meaningful from the sometimes incongruous pieces. Drawing from the influence of traditional American quilt patterns, I seek to find a framework for exploring my testimony, varied experiences, emotions, and more through the use of color, texture, photography, and collage. I hope to communicate and validate these experiences through these artworks and use them to offer a message of encouragement to all those seeking meaning and to testify to the goodness and wisdom of my Creator.
